"...we should pass over all biographies of 'the good and the great,' while we search carefully the slight records of wretches who died in prison, in Bedlam, or upon the gallows."

This week's Link Dump is sponsored by the Association of Cave-Dwelling Cats.

So, at last we come to the end of this week's links.  See you on Monday, when I'll be presenting one of the Victorian era's strangest accused murderesses.  In the meantime, here's something from my favorite Beatle.

  2. The story about the Wakhan district in Afghanistan is an interesting one. Let's hope that the region stays forgotten by everyone. (By the way, Wakhan is a little panhandle that the British and Russians agreed to give Afghanistan in the late 19th century to keep their empires from touching and possibly causing friction; probably the only real estate deal that benefitted three countries at once.)
